After 3 life changing seasons as a writer/co-producer on Two And A Half Men, I will be saying goodbye and joining the writing team of Chuck Lorre’s new show, MOM.
There aren’t proper words really to describe how much I am not only going to miss my Two And A Half Men family, but how incredibly grateful I am for each and every one of them. They filled my life (and my daughter’s life) with seasons of laughter, hugs, food, support, growth and friendship. Thank you to the entire cast, crew, guest stars — EVERYONE — who made Two And A Half Men the best job this girl could have ever asked for. I will carry your voices, faces and all the endless penis and fart jokes with me in my heart forever.
I love you all.
Congrats Susan!!! Whatever you do will be wonderful no doubt! Mom sounds right up your alley! Can’t wait to hear more deets!
thanks, mike! i still owe so very much to you, my love! xo
Congratulations, Susan! Good luck and keep us posted!

Ha-ha! Congratulations! You will be great. When I saw the headline, I thought–hmm, she is retiring to stay home with Hannah–or maybe she is pregnant–or maybe she hit the lottery! All good….new show, even better!
prengant?! haha! thanks, janet! start watching mom!
You’ll enjoy working on “Mom” — it’s a terrific sitcom with a wonderful cast and writing crew, and from everything I’ve read about it, Chuck is giving that series lots of TLC. (For those who have never watched it, there are plenty of jokes, but the situations often have serious undertones — the lead characters both are recovering alcoholics, after all — and the storylines are deftly handled.) I have no doubt you’ll enjoy working with Anna Faris, Allison Janney and the rest of the cast, not to mention writers such as Nick Bakay. May “Mom” last for many more seasons, with you as a part of it!
thank you so much! sounds like they already have a fan in you! i’m very excited to be a part of the show!!
Indeed they do have a fan — in fact, I’m planning to move to Los Angeles sometime this summer (for film history research, among other things; for nearly seven years, I’ve run a classic Hollywood blog, Carole & Co., covering Lombard’s life and times and people she knew and worked with) and hope to catch a filming or two of “Mom” at Warners. (Back in 2000, I saw a “Frasier” filming at Paramount.) Again, best wishes, and judging from your background, you’re a perfect fit for the show. Continued personal and professional success!
thanks, christine! i have so many photos that i love — i didn’t have room for all of them!
Yay Susan!!! Your journey continues…excited for stories about the next chapter 😉 xox
